Nexar’s Curated Fallout 4 Modlist – 2025 Edition
I am excited to introduce my Curated Fallout 4 Modlist for PC, designed to let you experience Next-Gen Fallout 4 with a refreshed and finely tuned playthrough in 2025.
Unlike almost all other popular modlists, this modlist does not require a downgrade—it is built for Fallout 4 Next-Gen. It features a carefully curated selection of fixes, optimizations, and enhancements that improve both stability and performance.
Graphically, the game has been overhauled with community-created textures, which are far superior to Bethesda’s HD-DLC. Changing weathers, lighting improvements, immersive sounds, and Reactor ENB work together to create an atmospheric and immersive world.
Beyond visuals, the modlist includes extensive gameplay fixes and improvements, refining mechanics and adding fresh incentives to replay the game.
For character customization, custom male and female bodies are included, complete with body physics (bouncy boobs and butts) and expanded outfit support. The Fusion Girl body mod has been chosen over alternatives like CBBE to ensure compatibility and consistency.
Additionally, Sim Settlements 2 is integrated, enhancing the settlement-building aspect of the game. Aside from this, the modlist remains true to the vanilla Fallout 4 experience, preserving its core while upgrading everything around it.
Why This Modlist?
Creating a modlist that feels cohesive is no easy task—many mods have dependencies, making it difficult to find the right mix. This curated collection ensures all included mods work together seamlessly.
Furthermore, major fixes from the Next-Gen update—such as FaceGen improvements, Previs/Precombines, and LOD optimizations—have been integrated, so you don’t have to deal with the hassle of setting them up yourself.
This modlist demonstrates that Next-Gen Fallout 4 is fully viable and can provide an exceptional experience without the need for downgrades, while also celebrating over a decade of community contributions.
The modlist is actively supported and updated, with new community-recommended mods being assessed and integrated over time. Join our community Discord to stay up to date, provide feedback, and get support.
Additionally, the modlist includes custom tools designed to help maintain and troubleshoot installations, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience.
Lastly, installation has been streamlined via Wabbajack, making the setup process as smooth as possible. I’m continually working on refining this further to make modding as effortless as possible.

@Everyone 1.5.7 has just been uploaded.
I found some mod files in my Fallout 4 install that weren't meant to be there and I wasn't aware.
Since I converted to Stock Game instead of Rootmod, WJ was including some of those files and is the reason why it worked for me and not for others, and also why I couldn't seem to get rid of them (WJ had access to those files on my system)
I rebuilt the modlist from the ground up with a clean Fallout 4 and to be sure, clean WJ cache and redid the whole list from the ground up.
I haven't tested the download myself yet (it's 3am here, so going to bed), but the modlist base is working on my end.
Sorry for the delay. I sincerely hope all the issues are solved, but if not, please post here and I'll work through it.
If it works, happy gaming, and thank you all for your patience, feedback and support, it really helped me power through it.
Edit: If you load a save with this list, you may be prompted that HD Textures are missing - you can just OK safely. This is because the Bethesda HD DLC is not included in the Stock folder as All textures are already replaced by the superior HD Community Texture Pack. With Rootmod, the HD DLC would have been referenced in your save even though it's been overwritten by the Community Texture Pack.

@everyone Version 1.5.6 Stock Game has been uploaded. (install problem)
This just swaps out Rootmod for Stock game folder approach.

@everyone 1.5.5 has been completely rebuilt and re-uploaded: (install problem)
Updated to WJ 4
Solved:
"delta file is corrupt" message.
Hash Issues
Missing Files
F4SE issues when running the game.

@everyone Version 1.5.5 is live!
This is mostly a bugfix release:
- Fixed Texture issues with VTAW Wardrobe 6 & 7
- Restored some FG clothing pieces that I removed in earlier versions due to Wabbajack compilation issues.
- Rearranged some mods
- Moved VTAW Raiders, Gunners, Settlers to their own section for easy enable/disable if you don't want those npc's to spawn with VTAW clothing
- Updated the loadorder revert script which now does version checking of the modlist to revert loadorder for the modlist version that is currently installed.
- Removed FusionGirl Reduced. I also improved the amount of clothing that didn't work with body physics.
The entire modlist is exported and updated on https://nexarplays.co.za/fallout4/modlist/
The modlist was compiled with the new release of Wabbajack (4.0.0.3).
To upgrade from earlier versions, just install over your existing modlist.

Version 1.4
- Changes to load order to resolve issues with Flicker and previs objects, mostly visible when entering Concord.
- Changes to load order to resolve Sim Settlements 2 quest triggers not starting. You may have to load the game, save and exit or just wait a few minutes (15 or so) or do a combination of these to get the Quest scripts to set up properly. The main issue I faced was that Plots werent showing in the SS2 build menu, but this fixed it.
- Removed TCD Eyes plugin from Tattoos Collection by Dreivor 22 as it was causing buggy behaviour in looks menu.
- If updating doesn’t remove these files, open the Tattoos Collection by Dreivor 22 mod in explorer and remove all the .esp’s and .bsa/ba2 archives with “eyes” in it.
- Added mod to patch SS2’s previs/precombines for compatibility with PRP.
